Md Mehedi Hasan, participant of the 2024 Sheng Teng AI Big Model Empowering Salon

This summer vacation, I had the privilege of participating in the "ShengTeng AI Large Model Empower Salon" jointly organized by Shandong University and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. This salon broadened my horizons and allowed me to gain valuable practical wisdom. These valuable resources will directly empower and deepen my research on "Frequency Dynamics of Low Inertia Power Systems".

This event brought together scholars and elites from all over the world, including senior mentors from academia and industry elites, as well as young students with dreams. It is a diverse and highly interactive learning and cooperation platform. I was able to communicate face-to-face with big shots, listen to the pulse of cutting-edge technology, and feel the infinite possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation.

During the event, Subject-Matter Expert explained the basic concepts of artificial intelligence and large models in an easy-to-understand manner, focusing on their development trends, cutting-edge applications, and learning paths. The special discussion on "Transformer, GPT models and applications" led us to explore the mysteries of these cutting-edge models and their wide application in various fields. During the practical operation, I experienced personalized deployment testing models and model fine-tuning, and the integration of theory and practice brought me a lot of fun and achievements.

At this salon, I had the opportunity to give a presentation entitled "AI-Driven Insights: China's Academic and Research Journey". In this presentation, I shared my research experience in China, analyzed the latest trends and applications of large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, BERT, etc. The presentation also covered challenges in operational research, including scalability, accuracy, and applicability, and provided a guide on how to integrate AI agents with LLMs to improve research efficiency. I also introduced how to apply these technologies to improve the accuracy and real-time capabilities of my research, which was encouraged and affirmed by everyone.

During the communication with other colleagues, I also gained a lot of cross-disciplinary knowledge. This salon had a profound impact on my methodology for "low-inertia power system frequency dynamics research". The integration of AI technology, especially the precision and real-time improvement in frequency dynamic estimation and control, is of great importance for maintaining the stability of high-Renewable Energy penetration rate power systems. In addition to exploring the mysteries of large-scale language models, I also gained valuable skills in seamlessly integrating hardware and software to build projects on the Atlas 200I SDK platform. These practical experiences not only optimized my ability to control LLMs, but also strengthened my data analysis ability, prediction accuracy, and control strategy effectiveness. These new skills will enable me to more keenly capture the complex dynamic changes in the power system, and with the power of AI, improve the stability and reliability of the system.

Thanks to Shandong University and Huawei for carefully organizing this salon, which provided us with the opportunity to learn and grow. As a student from Bangladesh studying at Shandong University, I will cherish every learning opportunity and strengthen the integration of research projects and artificial intelligence.
