From May 21st to May 23rd, the "CSC Alumni Association" - the Internationalization Talent Training and Exchange Activity of the Carbon Neutrality Energy University Collaboration Group was held in Shihezi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The event was hosted by the China Scholarship Council and co-organized by China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Shihezi University. Professor He Dongxin from our college and postdoctoral fellow Zhang Wenjing, representing the alumni, participated in the event.
Wei Zhong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Shihezi University, pointed out that the event built an interactive bridge for the universities in the cooperation group, effectively promoted the resource sharing and collaborative innovation among the member universities in the cooperation group, and continuously deepened the two-way expansion of international cooperation in breadth and depth. Professor He Dongxin shared the experience and practices of Shandong University in the Internationalization of Carbon neutrality talent cultivation, reported on the selection of personnel for the Carbon neutrality project, and put forward suggestions on the adjustment of the cooperation universities, selected majors, selected scale and other aspects in the next implementation period in view of the problems in the implementation.

Postdoctoral fellow Zhang Wenjing, on behalf of the participants, reported on her experience of studying at the French National Institute of Advanced Technology and shared her academic research progress and achievements. During the academic salon, the participating scholars engaged in multi-dimensional dialogue and interactive discussions on the topic of carbon neutrality, and explored in depth the path of interdisciplinary collaborative innovation and the construction of international cooperation mechanisms.
In June 2022, Shandong University joined the Belt and Road Initiative Energy Partnership Cooperation Network under the National Energy Administration. In 2023, 12 member universities in the cooperation network initiated an application to establish the Carbon Neutrality Energy University Collaboration Group of the CoinEx Smart Chain to jointly apply for and implement innovative international joint training projects on carbon neutrality.
